Sand plant

The entire plant is fully mechanized and dust collection system ensures pollution free environment.
The sand plant is equipped with environmental friendly machines as detailed below:

• Vibratory shake-out
• Heat resistance belt conveyor
• Over band magnetic separator
• Bucket elevators
• Polygonal sieve
• Storage hopper-100 Ton Sand storage.
• Intensive mixer
• Prepared sand storage hopper
• Jolt squeeze moulding machine
• Dust collectors with cassette type filters.

Mould Making

Metal patterns are made according the customer drawings/specifications. Moulding is carried out by machine moulding. The mould sand preparation and handling are mechanized. The mould closing operation is done by using electrical hoists and mould handling is done by using trolleys and mould tracks. It is a green sand process. Used sand is recycled and fresh sand is added for maintaining mixed sand parameters.

Core Shop

The coreshop is equipped with the following:

• Cold box core shooter
• Core mixers
• Electric core oven.

The cores are made in core shooter using Amine gas. For bigger cores, it is manually done using Carbon-di-oxide.

Melting

The raw materials are melted by using medium frequency electric induction furnace of capacity 500kgs/500kw and is of Inductotherm make. Carbon, silicon, carbon equivalent are checked by using Ferro Excel Lab. Immersion pyrometer is used to check the temperature. The molten metal is tapped into 250 kg ladles and taken to pouring station through monorail system.

• Power : 500 kw/1000 Hz/ IGBT TYPE.

Laboratory

The laboratory is equipped with the following:

• Spectrometer
• Metallurgical Microscope
• 40ton Universal Testing Machine
• Brinell hardness tester
• Sand testing equipments

Fettling

The fettling section is equipped with the following:

• 500 kgs shot blasting machine with automation.
• Pedestal grinders - 3 Nos.
• Flexible grinders
• Pneumatic die grinders
• Electric die grinders

Finally the products are inspected with respect to customer specifications and are dispatched.
